Jackson Public Schools Celebrates the Grand Reopening of Brinkley Middle School
Jackson Public Schools proudly celebrated the grand opening of the newly renovated campus of Brinkley Middle School, formerly known as Powell Middle School, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on Monday, July 27, at the school’s campus on Livingston Road.
The event marked a significant milestone for the district, showcasing a transformed learning environment designed to better serve scholars, educators, and the surrounding community. The newly updated campus features modernized classrooms and enhanced learning resources that will support scholar growth, achievement, and long-term success.
Superintendent Dr. Errick L. Greene joined district leaders, staff, families, alumni and community partners to commemorate the occasion.
“The ribbon-cutting ceremony represents our district’s commitment to educational excellence, safe learning environments, and the bright futures of our scholars,” said Dr. Greene. “Today’s celebration reflects the investments made to ensure our scholars have access to high-quality facilities that support teaching and learning at the highest level.”
