Dr. Desma Kelly

Dr. Desma Kelly is the principal of Brinkley Middle School for the 2025–2026 school year. With over 20 years of experience in public education, Dr. Kelly has served in a variety of leadership roles, including teacher, assistant principal, principal, and Director of Career and Technical Education. She now brings her extensive expertise and passion for education to Brinkley Middle School.

Throughout her career, Dr. Kelly has championed academic achievement, led impactful professional development, and fostered strong community partnerships. She holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College and is widely recognized for her transformative leadership, dedication to equity, and commitment to scholar success.

Jackson Public Schools welcomes Dr. Kelly to her new role and looks forward to the continued growth and excellence she will help inspire at Brinkley Middle School.
