Dr. Talinceya Finley

Combine inspired, resilient, and prepared and you get Dr. Finley. For the 2025-2026 school year, Dr. Finley will serve as Brinkley Middle School Dean of scholars. Over the past years, he has taught grades 6, 9-12, and on the collegiate level, while serving as the department chair. Dr. Finley is a native of Crystal Springs, MS and a graduate of Jackson State University with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and a Masters in Educational Leadership, along with a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from The University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. Finley has a true passion for education as he is a firm believer in guiding scholars to reach their full potential. This year, he will not only do that, but he will help teachers in this process as well. Ending with an inspirational quote: Every child deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists they become the best they can possibly be by Rita Pierson. 

I look forward to serving the scholars, parents, faculty, and staff this school year!

Mrs. Brenekeia Dickey-Rawls, Ed.S

A native of Jackson, Mississippi, Mrs. Brenekeia Dickey-Rawls brings over 12 years of experience in education to her role as Dean of Students at Brinkley Middle School. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Jackson State University, as well as a Master’s and Specialist degree in Education from Belhaven University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Education, continuing her commitment to lifelong learning and leadership. Known for her passion for cultivating a positive school culture and climate, Mrs. Dickey-Rawls is dedicated to ensuring that Brinkley Middle School remains a safe, supportive, and thriving environment for all scholars. Mrs. Dickey-Rawls is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, where she continues to uphold the organization’s values of sisterhood, scholarship, and service. Outside of her professional life, she is a devoted wife and mother of two boys, and she values the strong connections between school, family, and community.
